The Veil is Thin...

The notion of a thin “veil” between this world and the next is rooted in ancient spiritual beliefs. Associated most commonly with seasonal changes, particularly around Samhain, this idea spans various cultures, suggesting moments when the energetic boundary between the living and the dead softens, allowing for clearer communications with spirits, an easier ability to glean ancestral wisdom, and increased access to all that is supernatural. It reflects a deep, shared belief in the interconnectedness of all realms of existence.

Thinning of the Veil Apothecary is inspired by this concept, but also honors the fact that plants are indeed spirits themselves, existing both in our physical realm and as guides and teachers of the Otherworld. For this reason ToVA seeks to be a conduit in which to build relationship with plants and herbal allies not only in the physical sense, but energetically and spiritually as well.

Thinning of the Veil is a small-batch operation, and available products may differ based on the time of year, season, what herbs are currently available, or even moon phase. All products are created using a folk method, or the old way, which may create slight variability in products. All products are made with quality, organic ingredients as much as possible, or may include home-grown or ethically wildcrafted herbs.
